CHEF ANDREA ZANIN CELEBRATES TEN YEARS IN AMERICA WITH AN EVENT IN NEW YORK DEDICATED TO THE GREAT ITALIAN PASTRY SHOP

On November 9, on the occasion of his first 10 years in the U.S., internationally renowned chef Andrea Zanin promoted an event dedicated to the great Italian pastry shop, Sweet Italy.
In the prestigious office of the Italian Trade Agency in Manhattan, in the presence of the Consul General of Italy in New York, Fabrizio Di Michele, the Director of Italian Trade Agency in New York, Antonino Laspina, figures from the world of American and Italian culture, fashion, art and business, and many reporters, the event celebrated Italy’s great pastry-making culture.
For Andrea Zanin it was also an opportunity to present a preview of a his “limited edition” Panettone, the product that made him famous worldwide.
An exclusive recipe, with a long fermentation, 72-hour mother yeast, artisan flour, purely Italian ingredients, perfumed with vanilla and orange.
It’s a sweet project dedicated to New York,” Chef Andrea Zanin explains.
I’ve dreamt for some time of creating an homage to a city like New York, which through these years has, first of all, inspired me and has also given me great professional satisfaction.
I’m very happy because today this dream has become a reality.”
Chef Iginio Massari, considered the greatest pastry chef in the world, close friend and teacher of Andrea Zanin, sent a video message for the occasion, a testimony to the great friendship between the two Italian chefs.
Massari stressed the importance of quality in modern pastry-making and how Andrea has been able to export this quality to the United States.

Andrea Zanin’s passion for the art of pastry-making and cuisine is rooted in his Padre Pietro’s bakery, founded in the ’50s.
His talent brought him to the Academy of Italian Master Pastry Chefs, which welcomed him as a member. The world association Relais Desserts Internationale celebrates his admission and makes him one of three Italian pastry chefs among the first 100 in the world.
Prizes and awards confirm the rightful place of his pastry-making art and cuisine, as his teaching activities continue to increase.
Zanin has brought his name to international and institutional events in China, Japan, the Arab Emirates, Europe and the United States.
